and the One who walks with me on it.

If You'd Like to be Saved

Why be saved?
Life will still have struggles (John ) even if you become a Christian, so why do it?  I say, who wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with the Creator of the entire universe? (Gen. 1:1)  Only salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ can save you from eternal condemnation. (1 Pet. 1:18,19)
No one else can guarantee you abundant life (John ), to be with you (Ps 46:1-3,7), help you (Ps. 34:17-19), give you strength (Is. 41:10), care for you (1 Pet. 5:7), carry your burdens (1 Pet. 5:7), and be your defense. (Ps. 62:6)  With God in your life you will never be alone. (Heb. 13:5)

How to be “Saved”      (And there really is only One Way!)

Jesus Christ said:
“I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”  John 14:6 NIV

Acknowledge you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ died to save sinners.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”  Rom KJV
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”  Rom 5:8 TLB

Believe that His blood paid the price for your sin.      (This is faith in Him.)
“You were bought with a price;…”  1Cor   NAS
“Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who diligently search for him.”  Heb. 11:6 ISV
“…the one who doesn’t believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16 ISV

Repent of your sins.      (This means to be sorry for your sin and turn away from it.)
“I tell you, No; but unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with
abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally.”  Luke 13:3 Amp
“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone
everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.”  Acts NLT
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  1 John 1:8,9 KJV

Confess Jesus as Lord.      (There is no middle ground, either you are all in or all out.)
“All those who stand before others and say they believe in me, I will say before my Father in heaven that
they belong to me.  But all who stand before others and say they do not believe in me, I will say before my
Father in heaven that they do not belong to me.”  Matt. 10:32,33 NCV
“that if thou (you) mayest confess with thy (your) mouth the Lord Jesus, and mayest believe in thy (your) heart that God did raise him out of the dead, thou shalt be saved,.”   Rom. 10:9 YLT

(John 8:12; Rom. 8:14,15; 2 Cor. 11:2; John 14:22,23; John 15:14-16; Acts 17:28)
Read the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16,17; Matt. 4:4; Rom 15:4; Ps. 119:9)
Find a Good Church -Where the Bible is the Word of God as authority.
They teach using it.  They try to obey and live by it's precepts.
They believe Jesus is God who became man and was raised from the dead.
Leaders are saved and preach salvation.  People actively pursue God's will for their lives.
Remember:  people are "the church", not the building or denomination.
No "church" is perfect, we are all just being perfected one step at a time.
