Why did I start this blog?
For most of my life I despised the journey I was on, never satisfied with myself or the way it was going even after I gave my heart to the Lord as a teen. It's been a bumpy road of learning since then, mostly due to me and my pattern of running from my Lord for whatever reason I had at that time. Sure my life has never been easy, but it would have been easier with His continual help than without it.
The past few years I have begun to appreciate my past journey which helped me become the person I am today (and mostly like), and my present journey because my life with God is new and fresh every day, and He continues to amaze me with all I learn as I get to know Him better. His Word keeps me grounded, His love keeps me filled, and His presence in my life is what sustains me.
One of my favorite scriptures is from Ps. 17:15 in the Living Bible. "But as for me, my contentment is not in wealth but in seeing you and knowing all is well between us. And when I awake in heaven, I will be fully satisfied, for I will see you face to face."
So now I (almost always) enjoy this journey and being with my Lord. And I have come to appreciate all the people I meet on this journey, big or small, quiet or loud, saved or unsaved, of all ages, colour, and perspectives. We are all made by the Creator and He took pleasure in making us unique, with all our strengths and weaknesses, and each of us is a vital piece of this puzzle in this journey of life.
My hope is this blog will help you in some way, bring healing to hurts, encouragement to continue your journey, laughter to help, and a new perspective on life and the Lord.
So, for love of the journey, and the One who walks with me on it...
I love you Lord. All glory and honour belongs to You.
